MISSION

Wallawisa’s mission is to contribute to the protection of biodiversity and cultural heritage through research, education, outreach, and responsible action.

We work to conserve ecosystems, flora, and fauna, while promoting recognition of the ancestral knowledge that different communities have preserved across generations.

We support initiatives and territories where nature, culture, and memory remain closely connected, fostering a conscious relationship with the environment and respect for every form of life.

We seek to strengthen a culture of shared responsibility, capable of bringing together knowledge, sensitivity, and commitment in response to the environmental and human challenges of our time.

Our work aims to make knowledge more accessible, encourage reflection, and promote concrete actions that contribute to balance between humanity and nature, while also fostering learning, cooperation, and a responsible outlook toward future generations.

We understand that every decision made today leaves a mark on the Earth and also a lesson for those who will inhabit tomorrow.

Protecting life is a shared responsibility.

OUR VISION

Wallawisa is founded on a conviction: human beings are part of nature, and their future depends on the balance of the life they share with it.

We believe in a humanity capable of learning from different cultures, restoring a more conscious relationship with the Earth, and recognizing the value of life beyond its usefulness.

Indigenous peoples and their knowledge constitute a living memory that deserves to be heard and respected. We do not seek to idealize the past, but to understand what it can still teach us as we face the challenges of the present.

We aspire to a society that moves forward without losing the memory of what connects it to the Earth, and that finds in knowledge, diversity, and respect new ways of living together.

Every generation receives an inheritance from the Earth and, in turn, leaves a responsibility to those who come after.

Wallawisa is a bridge between ancestral and contemporary knowledge, between humanity and biodiversity, between memory and the future.

Awareness, knowledge, and action in service of life.

WALLAWISA HISTORY

Wallawisa was founded in Peru in 2016 by its founder as a global and independent initiative dedicated to protecting life and defending cultural and natural diversity. It arose from a calling to stand with the Earth and with communities that continue to preserve balance, identity, and wisdom.

We believe that nature, human dignity, and ancestral knowledge must be preserved without interests or conditions. The name Wallawisa, from the Quechua term meaning “Spiritual Guide,” reflects the way we choose to walk: learning with humility, acting with respect, and sustaining every action with courage.

Our journey has been shaped by commitment and voluntary action: supporting communities, defending ecosystems, rescue efforts, education, and the sharing of ancestral knowledge. Every step responds to a clear conviction and to a responsibility consciously embraced.

Today, Wallawisa continues to grow as a bridge between humanity, biodiversity, and ancestral memory, promoting actions that protect life and contribute to a dignified future for generations to come.
