Research

Wallawisa develops research journeys, cultural exchanges, and environmental education initiatives connected to biodiversity, Indigenous worldviews, and the relationship between territory, memory, and knowledge.

We explore regions along the coast, the Andes, and the Amazon, engaging with communities, landscapes, and places of ancestral significance in order to understand how different cultures have interpreted their relationship with the Earth over time.

These journeys allow us to document knowledge, practices, stories, rituals, cultural expressions, and understandings related to plants, animals, and ecosystems, always with an attitude of respect, listening, and learning.

For Wallawisa, researching a territory does not simply mean traveling through it, but learning to observe it through the perspectives of those who inhabit it and preserve its memory.

Every path can become a form of knowledge when it is traveled with respect, awareness, and humility.
